Action Items

Items displayed in the Action Items drawer will now display as follows:

Assignments:

Student Submissions: Assignments with the closest due date will display first with later due dates subsequently displaying.

Scoring Assignments: Assignments with the closest scoring due date will display first with later due dates subsequently displaying.

Available Results: Assignments with the most recently released results will display first with older released results subsequently displaying.

Course Assessments: Course Assessments will first be ordered by Term, then alphabetically by Course Section.

Course Evaluation Results: Course Evaluation results will display in order of which results became available first. If multiple results became available on the same date, they will be ordered alphabetically based on the Subject Code

Data Collections: Data Collections will display alphabetically by the Data Collection Name (e.g. "2023 Assessment Plan & Report" will appear before "2023 Program Review"), then alphabetically based on Step Number (e.g. Step 1 will display before Step 2), and finally ordered alphabetically based on the Business Object Name (e.g. for Program Data Collections, the "Accounting, BS" form will appear before "Biology, BS" form).

Program Assessments: Program Assessments will first be ordered by Term, then alphabetically by Course Section, and finally ordered by Program name.

Surveys: Surveys with the closest end date will display first and Surveys with subsequent end dates will follow with the furthest end date displaying last. If multiple Surveys are configured with the same end date, they will be ordered alphabetically based on Survey Name.

Tasks: Tasks with the closest deadline will display first with later deadlines subsequently displaying. If multiple Tasks have been configured with the same deadline, they will be ordered alphabetically based on Task Title

Analytics

Outcome Assessment Summary Report

Current Functionality: Selection of a specific campus and/or delivery mode is not available when defining report parameters.

Updated Functionality: New report parameters have been added to enable the ability to define the campus or delivery mode. Available selections for these new parameters are based off the DeliveryModeDesc and CampusName fields in the Course Section import file sent to HelioCampus.

Note: If Delivery Mode and Campus Name are not being provided in the data files sent to HelioCampus these two additional parameters will not be displayed.

Course Section Trend Analysis Report

Assignment Linking

Users will now have the ability to open the Assignment Linking UI into fullscreen mode.

Data Warehouse

Current Functionality: For Courses that do not contain any Course Sections, Course Learning Outcomes are not added to the Data Warehouse. 

Updated Functionality: Course Learning Outcomes for Courses that are not aligned to any Course Sections will now be added to the Data Warehouse. Additionally, two tables will have fields be renamed as detailed below:

The changes are with 2 tables. (dw_clo_hierarchy and dw_clo_rubric_hierarchy)

master_course_section_id is renamed to main_course_section_id

is_master_inherited is renamed to is_main_inherited

is_course_clo column will be added. Institutions can now use this column if they would like to know if Courses have Course Learning Outcomes(CLO). Valid values of this column are True or False.

External LMS ID

Current Functionality: Currently, the External LMS field displays as editable in Course Section Settings.

Updated Functionality: The External LMS field will no longer display as editable at the Course Section Settings level.

As part of the previous 3.91 release, HelioCampus implemented a reorganization of the Assessment Management platform main menu and user interface updates to improve and simplify the presentation of the platform. To learn more about these changes, the  Main Menu Reorganization and User Interface Updates guides can be reviewed.

Upon logging into the platform, a popup will will display to prompt users to explore these updates. This pop-up can be disabled from displaying upon each login by enabling Do Not Show This Specific Announcement Again prior to clicking Dismiss to close the pop-up.

My Assignments Dashboard Widget

Current Functionality: Converted LMS assignments currently display to students via the My Assignments dashboard widget although students are unable to submit content for these assignments.

Updated Functionality: The My Assignments dashboard widget will no longer display converted LMS assignments in either the Assignments to Submit section or the Completed Assignments section of the dashboard widget. 

Strategic Planning

The Strategic Plans menu item has been renamed to Strategic Plan Objectives and has been relocated to the Data Collections Main Menu section. The newly titled and relocated Strategic Plan Objective platform page has been updated regarding the homepage page display and creation process of new strategic plan objective sets to more closely align with the current functionality of the Outcomes Library.

Within the Reports Library, the Strategic Plan Reports have been removed and within the Organizational Hierarchy, Strategic Plan Settings have been removed.

NOTE: This improvement has not removed the ability to add Strategic Plan Objectives or the ability to align them with Data Collections or the Evidence Bank. Clients with interest in setting up a Strategic Plan Objective that aligns with the aforementioned platform features, should contact their Client Success Manager. 

Syllabus Template Question Types

Current Functionality: The True/False question type can be added to Syllabus Templates.

Updated Functionality: The ability to add the True/False question type to Syllabus Templates has been removed. Any existing Syllabus Templates utilizing a the True/False question type will be automatically updated to change all True/False question types to Multi-Choice, Single Answer.
