The Credentials Main Menu section organizes platform features that aid in managing Badges awarded to Students. The Badge Manager article can be reviewed for additional information related to the Badge Manager.
Credentialing Life Cycle
A Badge is a credential that allows students to demonstrate specific skills gained through various educational experiences. Institution Admins can create Badges manually in the platform via the Badge Manager or in bulk via the Badge API. Once created, the Badge Assertion Batch Process can optionally be used to award Badges in bulk; if bulk awarding is not performed, the platform will award a Badge once the student achieves the configured award criteria for a Badge. Once awarded, students are emailed a notification to claim their new digital badge.
