Institution level Survey settings can be managed by navigating to Main Menu > Institution > Institution Homepage > Survey Settings.
📙 Knowledge Base Tip: When configuring Survey Schedule and Notification Settings, it is recommended to utilize the Notifications & Offset Configuration article in conjunction with this article.

Product Tip: Survey Schedule and Notification Settings are also available at the College and Department levels.
Institution, College, and Department Admins may set hierarchy level defaults for the management of Surveys and the features that interface with them. Additionally, settings can be locked to prevent them from being configured at a lower level of the Organizational Hierarchy.
Survey Schedule and Notification Settings are segmented into three evaluation types:

Student Course Evaluation

Instructor Course Evaluation
-
General Course Evaluation
For each evaluation type, settings can be defined for the beginning, middle, and end of Term. These are separate settings and must be set individually by Term timing.


When configuring settings for Student Course Evaluations or General Course Evaluations, (for the beginning, middle, or end of Term) utilize the Send Survey Start Notifications To field to define who should be alerted (in addition to the Survey Administrator) when a Survey begins. Utilize the Send Results Available Notifications To to define who should be alerted (in addition to the Survey Administrator) when Survey results are available. Once each field has been configured, click Save.
Product Tip
The Send Survey Start Notifications To and Send Results Available Notifications To fields are not applicable to Instructor Course Evaluation Settings.
For each Course Evaluation Setting type, Institution Admins can utilize the Survey Start Date offset settings to define at the Institution level, when Surveys will start. The configuration of this setting will cascade to Colleges and Departments within the Institution’s Organizational Hierarchy within the platform.

For each Course Evaluation Setting type, Institution Admins can utilize the Survey End Date section to define at the Institution level when Surveys will end. The configuration of this setting will cascade to Colleges and Departments within the Institution’s Organizational Hierarchy within the platform.

Notification Templates
The Survey Start Notification for Survey Administrators notifies Survey Administrators that a Survey is starting soon. Once the offsets have been configured and the notification verbiage has been customized as needed, click Save.

The Survey Start Notification for Survey Administrators notifies Instructors that a Survey for their Course Section is starting soon. Once the offsets have been configured and the notification verbiage has been customized as needed, click Save.

Upon the Survey Start Date (configured when scheduling a Survey) the Survey Invitation Notification notifies Survey Participants that they have an evaluation to complete. The notification verbiage can be customized as needed.

The Survey Reminder Notification can be utilized to remind Survey Participants that they have an evaluation to complete. The reminder frequency and notification verbiage can be customized as needed.

The Survey Results Available notifications can be utilized to notify the Survey Administrator and the Instructor of a Course Section that Survey results are available for review. Once the offsets have been configured and the notification verbiage has been customized as needed, click Save.
