Survey Participants

The Survey Participants page gives administrators a centralized view of survey participants while the survey is in progress. From this page, administrators can review participant details, monitor survey status and submissions, access related course sections, and use available tools to search, filter, export, print, preview, or manage survey forms. Once a survey starts and transitions from Pending to In Progress status at midnight on the Survey Start date, the Survey Participants page displays the participants who will be surveyed. Before a survey starts, this page will not display any participants; instead, it will show a notification stating when the page will be populated, based on the start date inherited from the associated survey schedule or the survey instance Settings page.

Search functionality is available (1). If filters have been applied, they will display below the search bar and can be removed individually or in bulk. The participant table displays each participant’s name, email, and survey form information. The Submitted column (2) shows whether each participant has completed the survey; the Course Section column (2) identifies the specific course section associated with the participant’s survey assignment. Together, these columns help to monitor completion status by course section. Expanding the options menu for a participant (3) displays options based on the participant’s submission status and user permissions. The Participants page can be exported to CSV format (4).

The platform’s login-as functionality is only available to Institution, College, and Department admins.

Survey Form Statuses

Survey form statuses indicate where a participant’s survey form is in its availability lifecycle. These statuses help administrators understand whether a form is not yet open, currently available, or closed to participants.
