
Academic Policies is the centralized location for academic policies that may be included on Syllabus Templates. Once an Academic Policy has been published, it will be displayed when the Academic Policies Syllabus Template Item is added to a template. Academic Policies can be managed by clicking Academic Policies from the left-hand menu of an Institution, College, Department, Administrative Division, or Administrative Unit.
Hovering over the kebab menu for a policy displays the option to delete a policy (1), copy a policy as a template for a new policy (2), and edit a policy (3).

Add an Academic Policy

On the Academic Policies page, click Revise Policies.

Via the +Add Academic Policy pop-up, enter the policy name and description. When policy information has been entered, click Save.

To allow a new Academic Policy to be included in the Academic Policies Syllabus Template Item, click Publish Policies.
Copy an Academic Policy

To copy an Academic Policy, hover over the kebab menu and click the Copy option.

Once copied, an exact duplicate of the copied policy will be available; to edit a copied Academic Policy, hover over the kebab menu and click the Edit option.

To allow a copy of an Academic Policy to be included in the Academic Policies Syllabus Template Item, click Publish Policies.

Via the Publish Policies pop-up, policies for the most recent Course versions for in-progress Terms will be updated by default.
Revise an Academic Policy

On the Academic Policies page, click Revise Policies.

To edit an Academic Policy, hover over the kebab menu and click the Edit option.

Edits can be made via the +Edit Academic Policy pop-up. When edits are complete, click Save.

To allow a revised Academic Policy to be included in the Academic Policies Syllabus Template Item, click Publish Policies.
