The multiple document upload form item within data collection forms has the following limits:

A single document can not be larger than 256mb.

6 documents can be uploaded simultaneously

There is no limit on the quantity of documents that can be uploaded

Only the documents that are selected from your uploaded list will be saved to the data collection form upon submitting
All documents, regardless of those selected for individual questions, will be listed in the Documents section in the Manage Artifacts popup. If a user needs to delete uploaded documents, they can do so in the Manage Artifacts menu.
All documents in the Documents section will be visible upon submitting the form.
Please note that Documents in the Artifacts section, but not attached to a specific form item will not copy forward if using the copy forward feature or export in reports.
